Honest? Really? Don't be fooled by the name. You'll be disappointed if only read the 5-star reviews at their website. I lost my trust from this place. I told them only the rear brake needs service but they opened both front & rear brakes without my approval. I was afraid they would not put everything back as before if I don't allow them to work on my car after seeing their estimate. The brake pads costs < $20 at Amazon, < $40 at auto zone but this place charged me $107. Similarly, the caliper costs $52 at Amazon but I was charged $160. The total cost was $2,404 for front and rear brakes (rotors, calipers, brake pads and labor.)! Look at the bill, you'll collapse! Customers need saving in addition to a clean place. We don't need free drink, coffee. I came here because Costco has 15% off coupon but that couldn't cover the extra charges. Some customers research, do homework and inspect their cars before bringing in for service. Don't fool us. We'll tell everyone world wide about your business.

After reading all the reviews and hearing about the great staff I took my truck in for a quote. The quote was higher than the dealership. That was explained away with the 4 year warranty. He was not allowed to tell me the part number he was getting from Carquest. Assume they did not want me to know the mark up. It is a shame, I tried to give them business even though they were higher. I just wanted to know what I was paying for and I guess that was too much to ask.

I would recommend this place to anyone I know- their honesty and no bs approach was very refreshing. After being given the run around at the dealer, I came here based on a friend’s recommendation to have my breaks done, and not only did they take care of everything for a fraction of the cost, their attention to detail and customer service was just top notch. 10/10 highly recommend!

I am very impressed by Honest-1 and will be returning for future needs. I dropped my car off at Honest-1 at 8:30am for a full service and it was ready by 1pm the same day. In my prior experience with Charlotte auto shops this has not been the case (I’ve had shops keep my vehicle longer than this to change a tire)! I was highly impressed by the punctuality as well as the communication as my car was being serviced. Not only did they service my vehicle in a timely manner, they called me multiple times with updates as to what they were doing. I would highly recommend this business to others looking for a dependable mechanic shop in the Charlotte area.
